The Vatican shared a message from the Pope this Sunday during the Angelus, where the Holy Pontiff thanks for the prayer support he has received from around the world and asks to continue with joy in the apostolate, being a sign of a love that embraces everyone and transforms evil into good, generating a fraternal world. He entrusts everyone to the intercession of Mary and requests that they pray for him, while he continues his recovery.
The Pope acknowledges his hospitalization at the Gemelli Polyclinic and thanks the doctors and healthcare staff for the care provided, highlighting the dedication with which they serve among the patients. In the released message, he expresses his confidence in continuing with the necessary treatments and notes that rest is part of the therapy.
He also laments the third anniversary of the large-scale war against Ukraine, describing it as a painful and shameful event for humanity. In this context, he expresses solidarity with the Ukrainian people and calls to remember the victims of all armed conflicts, inviting prayers for peace in various regions, including Palestine, Israel, the Middle East, Myanmar, Kivu, and Sudan.
The Pope mentions having received messages of affection, highlighting the letters and drawings from children that have particularly impressed him. He concludes by urging not to be afraid to take risks in love and thanking again for the expressions of closeness and support received.
