The high-ranking official from the Vatican rejected the plan of the President of the USA, Donald Trump, regarding the restriction of access for refugees. He stated that such an idea contradicts the spirit of Christian humanity.

The papal assembly expressed concern about Trump's plan, which proposes limiting access for refugees to the USA. Participants of the meeting called for increasing efforts to address the issue of refugees and expressed solidarity towards those in need of help.

"As Christians and Catholics, we believe that the principle of solidarity should be fundamental in addressing the problems of migration and refugees," noted the official. He called on countries around the world to actively provide assistance to refugees and to flee from the temptation of foreignness and fear.
