One of the highest cardinals announced before the altar in St. Peter's Square in Vatican today, on Thursday, the election of the new Pope and head of the Catholic Church - Cardinal-Prince Robert Brifist. He took the name of Pope Leo XIV.
The cardinal stated: "We announce before all present that our new Pope and pastor of the universal church will be Cardinal-Prince Robert Brifist, who takes the name of Pope Leo XIV."
